Victor Osaro Edo (MNAL) is a Professor of African History in the Department of History, University of Ibadan. He is a specialist in Benin Studies as well as Political and Cultural History. Edo has published many articles in books and journals, nationally and internationally and has co- edited African Culture and Civilization with G.O Oguntomisin (2005). He also co- authored African Culture and Civilization from the Earliest Times to 1500AD with G.O. Oguntomisin (John Archers, 2007), among other co- authored and edited works to his credit. He is a member of the Historical Society of Nigeria (HSN). He was former Head of Department, Department of History (2012-2014). Presently, he is the Quality Assurance Officer, Faculty of Arts, University of Ibadan.
